About The Position
This is a part-time, seasonal position from mid-October to late-March. The role involves preparing and serving food and beverage items, operating as a cashier using a point of sale system, and performing related preparation and cleaning duties. The position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with diverse community members. Duties include greeting customers, taking orders, handling transactions, maintaining cleanliness, stocking products, providing basic facility information, and assisting with emergency support as directed. The role also includes acting as a mandatory reporter for child abuse/neglect.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of customer service and basic food service practices.
- Strong knowledge of basic math.
- Ability to follow directions and procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently while multitasking.
- Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and pleasantly with people of all ages and abilities.
- Ability to prepare and handle food and beverage items according to established procedures.
- Ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
- Ability to operate a point of sale station.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive, respectful, and cooperative working relationships with all contacts.
- High school diploma or currently attending school.
- Some previous related volunteer or work experience, or any satisfactory combination of education, experience, and training.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain within 5 days of hire, a current Oregon Food Handler Card.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food and beverage items.
- Serve as cashier, using point of sale system and processing cash and credit transactions.
- Perform basic food preparation duties.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of concession area, equipment, and surrounding areas.
- Complete opening and closing procedures for concession operations.
- Assist with inventorying and stocking of products.
- Provide basic facility and program information to the public.
- Assist with emergency support as directed by others.
- Act as a Mandatory Reporter; reports incidents of child abuse/neglect.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
