About The Position

AA Asphalting, a leading asphalt and concrete restoration provider in the Pacific Northwest with over 45 years of experience, is seeking a dedicated and motivated Equipment Operator to join their Maltby team. This role is for a hard-working individual who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in completing jobs safely and efficiently. The company serves public utilities, government agencies, general contractors, and businesses across Washington and Oregon.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to work weekends and occasional nights.
Ability to travel to various worksites.
Ability to work long hours and in all weather conditions.
Must register for the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse and consent to AA Asphalting reviewing their record.
Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check required.

Nice To Haves

Class A CDL preferred.
Follows all traffic regulations.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of assigned equipment.
Conducts daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and completes checklist in Fleetio.
Checks equipment daily for oil, fluid levels, damage, and wear areas.
Fuels and greases equipment daily.
Recognizes mechanical issues, takes action to shut down and secure the machine, and reports maintenance needs or damage to supervisors.
Loads and unloads equipment safely with assistance, ensuring equipment is correctly secured on trailers.
Trains teammates on equipment loading and unloading procedures.
Performs non-operator, general labor duties as needed.
Ensures equipment is maintained and cleans equipment as needed.
Practices good housekeeping.
Able to train others on equipment and general labor skills.
Follows all safety rules and regulations and practices preventive safety measures.
Helps ensure compliance with safety rules by other crew members.
Wears required PPE.
