About The Position

Intertek is seeking a Part-Time PAUT Level II Technician to join their Asset Integrity Management team in Houston, TX. The role involves inspecting materials, objects, or systems using Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing. This is a casual, project-based position that requires willingness to travel. Prior Level II certification and experience are mandatory.

Requirements

Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Advanced UT methods, including Phased Array.
Prior Level II certification.
API QUPA and API QUTE certifications or ISO Thickness, ISQ Shear Wave and ISQ Phased Array certifications.
Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record.
Current TWIC card.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Fluent in English.
Computer skills, especially familiarity with MS Office applications.

Nice To Haves

Additional NDT certifications and experience.
Additional experience and prior certification in other NDE methods (MT, PT, UTT, VT).

Responsibilities

Inspect assigned materials, objects, or systems using Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing.
Use advanced ultrasonic equipment with phased arrays to test for flaws in materials and welds.
Set up and calibrate equipment.
Interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified.
Exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of assigned trainees and NDE Level I personnel.
Organize and report the results of any assigned NDT.
