About The Position

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a Part-Time PAUT Level II Technician to join their Asset Integrity Management team in Houston, TX. This role requires the ability to certify as a PAUT Technician with prior Level II certification and experience. The technician will be responsible for inspecting materials, objects, or systems using Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing. Additional NDT certifications and experience are considered a plus. This is a part-time, casual, project-based position, and travel is required.

Requirements

Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Advanced UT methods, including Phased Array.
Prior Level II certification.
API QUPA and API QUTE certifications or ISO Thickness, ISQ Shear Wave and ISQ Phased Array certifications required for consideration.
Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record.
Current TWIC card.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Fluent in English.
Computer skills, especially familiarity with MS Office applications.

Nice To Haves

Additional NDT certifications and experience.
Additional experience and prior certification in other NDE methods (MT, PT, UTT, VT).

Responsibilities

Inspection of assigned materials, objects, or systems using Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing.
Using advanced ultrasonic equipment with phased arrays to test for flaws in materials and welds.
Setting up and calibrating equipment.
Interpreting and evaluating results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
Organizing and reporting the results of assigned NDT.
Providing on-the-job training and guidance to assigned trainees and NDE Level I personnel.
