About The Position
Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is looking for a customer-focused Patient Visit Specialist - Oncology to join their team. In this role, the specialist will provide a high level of support and customer service for all patients and guests of the Cancer Center. They will personally guide patients who are unfamiliar with the Cancer Center to their destination and provide a "warm hand-off" to the staff. This role works directly with providers to ensure proper coordination of care for each patient.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2 years of experience in a medical or physician office or comparable healthcare environment.
Nice To Haves
- Coursework in insurance/billing, medical practice education or seminars are all preferred.
Responsibilities
- Acts as a point of contact for providers and staff with any patient scheduling questions or concerns.
- Obtains insurance verification and secures authorization required for services provided at the Cancer Center.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
- Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.
- Schedules research patient per research protocol.
- Maintain patient records and support day-to-day office operations.
