About The Position
Sentara is currently hiring a Patient Transporter to work at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital, located in Virginia Beach, in the Intensive Care Unit. This full-time position operates on the night shift. The Patient Transporter safely escorts and transports patients within all areas of the hospital using safe body mechanics. They strictly adhere to all safety rules and initiatives of Sentara, communicate clearly with all staff, visitors, and patients, and ensure adequate communication of information between central transport and other departments.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- American Health Associate BLS Certification required
- Patient care experience preferred.

- Communicates clearly with all staff, visitors, and patients.
