About The Position

Transports patients to inpatient beds and to and from areas such as admitting, surgery, therapy, and radiology safely and promptly. Retrieves medical records, lab results, supplies, and medications as required. Prioritizes duties to facilitate department flow and maintains and cleans equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• BLS.
• Knowledge of patient safety, basic transportation equipment, and infection control processes.
• Clerical skills.
• Excellent telephone etiquette.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely and promptly to inpatient beds and between hospital areas.
• Retrieve medical records, lab results, supplies, and medications as required.
• Prioritize duties to facilitate department flow.
• Follow established safety procedures throughout transportation.
• Monitor the proper functioning of transportation equipment daily.
• Maintain and clean equipment.
