About The Position

The Patient Transporter is responsible for the safe and efficient physical transport of patients within the hospital, including admission and discharge transports, and transports between units and diagnostic testing departments. This role may also involve transporting equipment and supplies to support departmental and hospital operations. The position is full-time, with evening hours from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, including rotating weekends and holiday schedules.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
CPR BLS (American Heart Association healthcare provider) certification within 3 months of hire.
AED training within 3 months of hire.
Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, nursing staff, and physicians.
Verbal and written English skills for clear communication.
Organizational skills to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Ability to use and apply correct body mechanics when positioning and transporting patients.
