About The Position

The Patient Transporter is responsible for the safe and efficient physical transport of patients within the hospital. This includes transports for admissions, discharges, and between units and diagnostic testing departments, as well as return trips. The role may also involve transporting equipment and supplies to support the department and hospital's mission.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
CPR BLS (American Heart Association healthcare provider) within 3 months of hire.
AED training within 3 months of hire.
Interpersonal skills to effectively interact in a positive manner with patients, their families, nursing staff and physicians.
Verbal and written English skills to clearly and effectively communicate information.
Organizational skills to prioritize and complete transport tasks in a timely manner.
Ability to use and apply correct body mechanics when positioning and transporting patients.
