About The Position

Under the instruction of the Dispatcher-transports patients, equipment, specimens and patient records throughout the Center as well as assists the Distribution team members with their responsibilities such as appropriately checking and storing equipment, checking and replenishing nutritional refrigerators, checking and replenishing O2 tanks for the various units, and pulling linen using the appropriate picklists, and delivering equipment and supplies. The transport team member will also assist in responding to call bells when patients are in need of assistance, resolving issues that arise from these tasks as appropriate and involving the Transport Dispatcher of more challenging issues that arise.

Requirements

0-3 Months of experience.
High School Diploma or GED.
Current BCLS (must be able to obtain within 90 days).
Tact and discretion when contacting other departments, patients' families, and visitors.

Responsibilities

Transport patients, equipment, specimens, and patient records throughout the Center.
Assist Distribution team members with checking and storing equipment.
Replenish nutritional refrigerators.
Check and replenish O2 tanks for various units.
Pull linen using appropriate picklists and deliver equipment and supplies.
Respond to call bells when patients are in need of assistance.
Resolve issues that arise from tasks as appropriate.
Involve the Transport Dispatcher with more challenging issues.
