About The Position
MONTLAKE – RADIOLOGY SUPPORT has an outstanding job opportunity for a PATIENT TRANSPORTER / Hospital Assistant position. This role involves the transportation of patients, supplies, and specimens, as well as ordering and stocking supplies and maintaining/setting up special equipment. The position also includes participation in unit and departmental activities to promote effective problem-solving and communication.
Requirements
- Valid Nursing Assistant-Registered (NAR) or Nursing Assistant-Certified (NAC) with the State of Washington
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Six months experience involving customer service in a health care setting OR six months experience involving direct patient care OR equivalent education/experience.
- Valid American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers upon hire
Responsibilities
- Transportation of patients, supplies, and specimens
- Transports patients via gurney, wheelchair and bed to ancillary departments
- Ordering and stocking of supplies
- Maintain / set up of special equipment
- Participate in unit and selected departmental activities to promote effective problem solving and communication
