About The Position

Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Patient Transporter in our Patient Escort Services Department at Nassau. This is a part-time opportunity. Transporter, Job Responsibilities: Accept patient move assignments from the Dispatcher To provide a safe and efficient transport of the patient; This may be done utilizing a wheelchair, stretcher, or bed and must always be done in a quick yet safe manner. Work closely with the nursing staff to ensure that continuity of patient care is maintained at all times. Be compliant with mandatory education and health requirements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

Responsibilities

• Accept patient move assignments from the Dispatcher
• Provide a safe and efficient transport of the patient utilizing a wheelchair, stretcher, or bed
• Work closely with the nursing staff to ensure continuity of patient care
• Be compliant with mandatory education and health requirements
