About The Position
At ORMC, our Transport team plays a vital role in keeping the hospital running smoothly. Whether it’s safely moving patients, delivering equipment, or providing timely support across departments, this team keeps things in motion—literally. Known for their reliability, professionalism, and compassion, our transport staff are often the friendly faces that help patients feel at ease. It’s a fast-paced, purpose-driven team that takes pride in helping others and making a difference every step of the way.
Requirements
- Ability to read and recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
- Must have good working knowledge and be capable of accessing and using all department related computer systems such as but not limited to the TeleTracking, Allscripts and all other programs that include Bed Tracking and Service Response where applicable.
- Must be able to complete required mandatory educational training.
- Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association – renewed every two years.
- National Child Passenger Safety Certification (CPS) by Safe Kids USA – renewed every two years (Palmers Hospital only).
