About The Position

Geneva General Hospital is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Transport Aide to support patients and clinical teams throughout the hospital. The role involves transporting patients, assisting with clinical support activities, responding to requests and emergency alerts, and providing friendly service to patients and visitors. It is suited to someone who enjoys a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and helping improve the patient experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification through the RQI system during clinical orientation.
• CPI certification within six months of hire.
• Ability to successfully complete EKG tracing, medical record retrieval, and patient one-to-one training within the first month.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Professional and welcoming demeanor.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with others.

Nice To Haves

• Previous customer service experience, especially in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients throughout the hospital using wheelchairs, beds, and stretchers.
• Assist with transporting medically complex patients alongside nursing personnel.
• Perform EKG tracings following appropriate procedures.
• Retrieve and deliver medical records, equipment, supplies, and specimens.
• Clean and redistribute wheelchairs, stretchers, and other transport equipment.
• Respond promptly to patient transport requests and communicate delays when necessary.
• Assist patients and visitors with friendly, professional customer service and help them locate hospital departments.
• Support nursing and patient care teams with direct and indirect patient care activities.
• Respond to emergency alerts and assist as needed.
