About The Position

Voyago is hiring 1 Full-Time Patient Transfer Attendant in Chatham, Ontario. The role is responsible for the safe transport of patients via stretcher/wheelchair to/from a healthcare facility, nursing home, or private residence. The position requires outstanding customer service and excellent communication skills. This is a unionized position with an hourly wage of $20.01/hr. The shift is Monday-Sunday (1900-0300) with open availability throughout the week.

Requirements

• Valid First Responder Certification OR AEMCA, OR working towards a Paramedic Diploma (must be finished year 1) OR a Firefighter with Emergency Medical Responder Certification
• Basic Life Support certification (HCL level)
• Valid G class driving license
• Ability to lift 250+ lbs. using a stretcher or stair chair with partner
• Safe driver with a clean driving record
• Ability to obtain a clean Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector screening
• Up to date immunization records (MMR, DPT, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19 (2 doses), TB Skin Test (Step 1) valid within last 12 months)
• Successfully completed High School or proof of equivalency or post-secondary diploma
