About The Position

NEO Surgical Group is seeking a compassionate, confident, and highly motivated Patient Surgical Care Advocate to join our growing Personal Injury team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong healthcare background who understands clinical workflows and can effectively guide patients through their treatment and surgical journey with clarity, urgency, and care. The Patient Surgical Care Advocate serves as a key liaison between patients, providers, and the clinical team. This individual will help patients understand their procedures, treatment plans, and next steps while ensuring they remain engaged, informed, and supported throughout their care process.

Requirements

  • Experience in healthcare, medical office, or clinical coordination strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and patient care processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build trust quickly and guide patients with confidence and empathy
  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

  • Bilingual (Spanish, Creole, Russian) is a plus!
  • Naturally confident communicator who can educate and guide patients effectively

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with patients regarding treatment plans, procedures, and surgical recommendations
  • Educate patients on the importance of recommended care and next steps in their recovery
  • Coordinate closely with surgical coordinators, case managers, and medical providers
  • Ensure patients remain engaged, informed, and moving forward with their care plan
  • Assist patients with scheduling, documentation, and authorization processes
  • Provide clear, confident, and empathetic communication throughout the patient journey
  • Maintain accurate documentation within EMR systems
  • Serve as a consistent point of contact to enhance patient experience and follow-through
