About The Position

The Patient Support Tech works in the PACU Recovery Room and 1-1 departments, performing tasks that support the quality of the patient environment. Duties include cleaning assigned areas, stocking supplies, and transporting patients, supplies, specimens, and equipment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with possible weekend work and no holidays.

Requirements

• Must be able to read and write.
• High school graduation or equivalent is desired.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas to support the quality of the patient environment.
• Stock supplies.
• Transport patients, supplies, specimens, and equipment.
• Participate in orientation, annual competencies, continuing education, and updates.
• Maintain knowledge and skills related to applicable areas of expertise, including the Hip & Knee Replacement Program, Stroke, and Spine Surgery Program.
