The Patient Support Assistant will manage the front desk and waiting area, ensuring smooth patient flow and supporting the clinical team. This role involves handling all incoming telephone calls, scheduling and registering patients using Epic, obtaining necessary prior authorizations and records, and familiarizing oneself with physician preferences and practice protocols. The assistant will also review department templates daily to optimize patient access and template utilization, inform the Practice Manager of any concerns, and provide other administrative support as directed by physicians and the Practice Manager.
