Patient Support Assistant - Operating Room
About The Position
This role is responsible for facilitating communication and managing daily activities within the Operating Room. The Patient Support Assistant will schedule surgeries, greet staff and vendors, maintain regulatory standards, compile performance improvement data, and assist the Perioperative team with various projects. Requirements
- Minimum 1 year customer service experience is required
- High School Graduate or Equivalent
- Minimum 25-30 wpm typing proficiency
Nice To Haves
- Work experience in healthcare setting preferred
Responsibilities
- Facilitate all communication regarding the day-to-day activities in the Operating Room
- Schedule same day and next day surgeries
- Greet incoming staff, physicians, and vendors
- Support maintenance of regulatory standards regarding restricted area
- Compile performance improvement data
- Assist Perioperative team with ad hoc projects
