About The Position

The Patient Services Supervisor assists with the successful operation and customer service of the Food & Nutrition Services Department. This is an entry-level management opportunity for someone seeking a career in the food service industry. The role supports patient satisfaction and the daily food service operation, with primary involvement in patient meal assembly and delivery.

Requirements

• Two years of food service experience.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, healthcare, or related food service operations.
• Some knowledge of food trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
• Supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching skills.
• Written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with management, clients, customers, and associates.
• Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet use.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient and client satisfaction by meeting and exceeding stated expectations.
• Offer menu alternatives permitted by prescribed diets, accounting for food allergies, sensitivities, and cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
• Work with nursing staff to evaluate patient meal selection, tray completion, delivery, and retrieval processes daily.
• Resolve patient concerns or complaints promptly and report concerns to a supervisor when appropriate.
• Assist with food service activities, including patient meal assembly and delivery, quality improvement, sanitation, infection control, and facility-related activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
