This role is for a Patient Services Specialist at Atrium Health Indian Trail Internal Medicine. The position is full-time, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The specialist is expected to exemplify caring and compassionate customer service to create an excellent patient experience. This involves providing exemplary interpersonal skills, demonstrating critical thinking and decisive judgment in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to work both independently and cohesively within a team. Key responsibilities include managing patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, collection and cash receipting, and handling arrival/departure desk activities. The role also involves encouraging patient use of front-end technology, entering and maintaining confidential patient information, assisting with billing functions, and monitoring inventory of medications and emergency equipment.
