About The Position

Join The Oregon Clinic as a full-time Patient Services Specialist, working collaboratively with patient-focused colleagues and physicians in our Gastroenterology South Endoscopy Center located in Oregon City and Tualatin. This role is crucial in ensuring patients receive the highest value care tailored to their needs by providing a consistent, efficient, and easy experience for patients and stakeholders. The position emphasizes excellent customer service and communication skills to support the clinic's mission of delivering world-class care with kindness and empathy.

Requirements

Minimum of one (1) year of work experience, preferably in a medical office.
Minimum of one (1) year of previous experience in Surgery or other complex scheduling is preferred.
Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is preferred.
Familiarity with insurance and referral processes.
Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
Excellent attendance and work ethic.
Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Nice To Haves

Specialty care GI experience is a plus!
Epic experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

Checking in and out new/established patients.
Scheduling/rescheduling patients’ appointments and/or surgeries according to office protocols and physician requests.
Obtaining and completing insurance information.
Answering phones on a multi-line system.
Processing of incoming referrals and electronic fax submissions.
Updating registration and EMR records as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
