Patient Services Specialist/ Transplant Operations
About The Position
UW Medical Center - Montlake/ Kidney Care & Transplantation Services has an outstanding opportunity for a Patient Services Specialist 2. This is a full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours per week) position with day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. The role is on-site with no telework options. Kidney Care & Transplantation Services treats patients with all forms of kidney disease, offering state-of-the-art care, access to new treatment studies, and traditional therapies. The clinic provides comprehensive and compassionate care, with a special emphasis on living-donor kidney transplantation. UW Medicine’s transplant team is experienced in sophisticated living-donor transplants, with nephrologists and surgeons having over 10 years of experience in living donation. Patients also have access to research studies focusing on new medications to prevent rejection of transplanted kidneys. The clinic also offers specialized care for genetic kidney diseases, high blood pressure, kidney stones, and kidney disease related to pregnancy, diabetes, and cancer.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent AND One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience OR An equivalent combination of education/experience
- Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration
Responsibilities
- Providing staff, providers, and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communications, including phone answering and call triaging
- Scheduling provider and ancillary service appointments
- Obtaining patient demographic and clinical information
- Partnering with all members of the clinic team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery
- Other duties as requested
