About The Position

The Patient Services Specialist supports a busy outpatient practice by delivering exceptional customer service, managing patient check‑in/check‑out, and ensuring smooth front‑office operations. Reliability and professionalism are the top priorities.

Requirements

  • 1+ year in medical front desk, general front desk, or customer service.
  • Strong customer service skills (in‑person + phone).
  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation (not public transit).
  • Strong computer and data‑entry skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical front desk or healthcare call center experience.
  • Knowledge of insurance, co‑pays, and patient demographics.
  • EMR experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and assist with paperwork.
  • Complete patient registration, verify benefits, obtain authorizations.
  • Collect co‑pays and support end‑of‑day reconciliation.
  • Answer calls, schedule appointments, check voicemails, follow up with patients.
  • Document accurately in Therapy Source and Rehab Toolkit.
