Patient Services Specialist - Patient Access
About The Position
Work in conjunction with an RN/provider to ensure quality patient care and optimum customer service. Responsible for coordinating inpatient and outpatient surgical cases. Provides routine and complex financial counseling to patients, research routine and complex referral and billing issues and completes routine and complex encounter form coding for all surgical cases. Requirements
- Health care or insurance experience.
- 1 year of Ambulatory practice experience.
- 1 year of experience with coding ICD9, CPT, and HCPCS.
- 1 year of Third-party billing and referrals experience.
- Prior experience in liaison role for providers and staff.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of Comparable experience in an outpatient care setting.
- Experience with Windows, Word, Excel.
