About The Position
Harborview Medical Center - Float Pool has an outstanding opportunity for a Patient Services Specialist 2. This is a full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours per week) position working day shifts, Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The role is conveniently located near public transportation and offers the chance to make a difference for patients and employees, with opportunities for career growth. The primary responsibilities include providing efficient internal and external communications, such as phone answering and call triaging, scheduling provider and ancillary service appointments, obtaining patient demographic, financial, and clinical information, and partnering with the clinic team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery. Other duties may be requested.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent AND One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience OR An equivalent combination of education/experience
Responsibilities
- Providing staff, providers, and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communications, including phone answering and call triaging
- Scheduling provider and ancillary service appointments
- Obtaining patient demographic, financial, and clinical information
- Partnering with all members of the clinic team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery
- Other duties as requested
