General Summary # Centralized Scheduling The Patient Services Representative is responsible for centralized inbound and outbound multi-specialty healthcare calls. Responsible for completing the following tasks in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner: Schedules appointments electronically for new and established patients, collects and inputs information into our electronic EHR while maintaining a high degree of accuracy. Independently works to resolve patient and provider questions related to patient care referrals, pre-authorizations/pre-certifications and insurance verifications. Demonstrates the highest level of commitment, compassion and customer service for all of our patients, providers and other team members. Possesses and displays excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey information in a clear, focused and concise manner while following proper grammar rules. Demonstrates strong telephone communication and etiquette skills. Maintain composure during moments of stress and maintain a helpful disposition at all times. Schedule patient appointments. Answer phones, screen, and direct calls. Provide information about our providers and office locations. Confirm appointments for the following day. Take and relay messages to ambulatory office staff and providers. Make sure to obtain all referrals when needed. Comply with all policies and procedures of the practice. Perform any other assignments as directed by management and providers.
