About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Service Representative to manage the processing of accident claims. In this role, you will work both independently and collaboratively with a team that includes fellow Knowtion Health colleagues as well as the Client�s staff, all in a fully remote environment. Successful candidates will demonstrate exceptional communication skills, strong computer proficiency, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years' experience working with EMR/EHR systems required
  • 1+ years' experience registering patients in a hospital/provider group setting required
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong computer proficiency
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting
  • Dedicated, distraction-free work space at home

Nice To Haves

  • EPIC software preferred
  • Experience with MVA claims or health claims including Medicare preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook and Excel preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a professional relationship with clients, acting as a liaison between the hospital and Knowtion Health Hospital related physician offices, ensuring open and mutual communication
  • Develop and maintain a professional relationship with insurance payers, encouraging prompt payment
  • Remotely obtain information, including documents, regarding the entity responsible for payment of patient�s hospital bills or claims. The entity may be a commercial or governmental insurance payer, attorney or MVA adjuster.
  • Verify and fulfill any attorney requests that are received
  • Learn and implement client specific protocols and procedures
  • Escalates complex, complicated, or challenging accounts to management to ensure accounts are progressing effectively
