About The Position

iTrust Wellness is seeking a Patient Services Representative (Front Desk) to join our Anderson, SC outpatient mental health practice in a patient services–focused role. This position is ideal for someone with a strong interest in mental health, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering a high-quality, seamless patient experience. This role is fully administrative and patient-facing, serving as a key point of contact for patients while supporting providers and ensuring efficient daily operations. This role is responsible for managing front-office operations and coordinating patient services to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience from check-in to follow-up.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or interest in the mental health field preferred
  • Previous experience in a front desk, patient services, or administrative role (healthcare preferred)
  • Familiarity with EMR systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Experience in a private practice or outpatient setting

Responsibilities

  • Managing incoming and outgoing patient communication (phone calls, voicemails, text messages, fax communications and other correspondence) and documenting interactions accurately
  • Scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming appointments
  • Checking patients in and out, and coordinating follow-up appointments
  • Assisting patients with general questions regarding services, forms, and office policies
  • Gaining proficiency in the EMR system to enhance workflow and patient satisfaction
  • Completing prior authorization requests for medications
  • Communicating with pharmacies and other medical offices regarding prescriptions and care coordination
  • Maintaining accurate patient records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
  • Collaborating closely with providers and administrative staff to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Supporting company culture and upholding organizational values
  • Assisting with staffing needs at other iTrust Wellness locations as needed
  • Performing additional duties as assigned
