Responsible for aspects of front office management and operation as assigned. This role requires a high level of public contact and excellent interpersonal skills. The Patient Services Representative acts as a liaison between patients and medical support staff, greeting patients, verifying insurance information, and ensuring all necessary forms are completed. They are responsible for gathering charge information, coding diagnoses, posting payments, balancing the cash drawer, and preparing daily deposits. Additionally, this role involves managing appointment schedules, providing phone support, processing billing and insurance claims, and assisting patients with various inquiries related to their accounts and benefits. Maintaining patient confidentiality and a professional appearance are essential. This is a non-management position that reports to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
