The Patient Services Representative (PSR) II is responsible for greeting patients and visitors, answering phones, registering patients, verifying insurance, collecting payments, scheduling appointments, and providing information regarding test preparations and procedures. This role also involves updating patient information, ensuring accuracy of insurance and financial data, identifying and resolving registration or authorization issues, monitoring patient flow, offering assistance to patients, and performing visit closure tasks. The PSR II may also educate patients, staff, and providers on prior authorization requirements and insurance-related matters, and acts as a resource for patient services staff, assisting with moderately complex patient concerns and training new staff.
