The Patient Services Representative II serves as the first point of contact for patients entering the medical facility, specifically within an outpatient facility setting. This role involves greeting and checking-in patients, verifying their information, scheduling appointments, and updating their Electronic Health Records (EHR). The representative facilitates intake procedures, including the completion of healthcare and insurance forms, and collects payments for services. A key aspect of the position is to build confidence and cooperation with patients, their families/support groups, and other healthcare providers through competent job performance and effective communication. The role requires adherence to all organizational, local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety while delivering optimal care. Additionally, the Patient Services Representative II may be responsible for performing specific tasks and/or orienting other staff members within the department.
