About The Position

This is a casual/flex position in the Emergency Center, Outpatient, and Surgery areas, offering the flexibility to pick up hours as needed. The role involves supporting these areas by assisting and educating patients, providers, medical office staff, and Health System staff with accessing services, resolving problems, and answering navigation questions. The goal is to consistently create an exceptional experience through various communication channels like calls, online chat, and email, while adhering to established procedures and quality guidelines to meet performance indicators and uphold Corporate values.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of relevant experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, evaluate, resolve, and respond to service inquiries from members, providers, employer groups, colleagues, agents, Elite agents, and others within departmental guidelines.
  • Provide customers with information and education concerning benefit clarification, eligibility requirements, verification, authorization, billing, and claim status by partnering with internal and external resources.
  • Promptly identify and resolve or escalate customer concerns or complaints to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Place outbound welcome calls to members to educate them on their benefits as needed.
  • Assist walk-in members and agents if assigned by leadership.
  • Adhere to established procedure and quality guidelines in support of the Priority Health service promise, key drivers, performance indicators, and Corporate values and codes of excellence.
  • Identify potential trends or issues impacting health plan members and work with coworkers and leadership to suggest process improvements.
  • Assist customers with administrative issues, such as submitting enrollment record changes, providing letters explaining coverage or benefits, and obtaining/relaying member information to other departments.
  • Facilitate claims resolution through follow-up on member calls and correspondence received to appropriate departments.
  • Effectively track and/or document all service interactions with customers within appropriate systems according to guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain behaviors of productivity, availability to customers, and adherence to work schedule.
