Requirements

  • One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

Responsibilities

  • Collect specimens including drug screens, blood samples, pathology, and cytology samples.
  • Research test/client information and verify all written and electronic orders.
  • Complete data entry requirements accurately, including patient registration and test order entry.
  • Enter billing information and collect payments, safeguarding assets and credit card information.
  • Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing as required.
  • Work iLabs for assigned accounts daily to ensure accurate billing data.
  • Provide CIR and PPE Resolution reporting to the Director.
  • Perform departmental-related clerical duties such as data entry, inventory, stocking supplies, and answering phones.
  • Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Perform verification of patient demographic information and patient signature post-venipuncture.
  • Assist with compilation and submission of monthly statistics and data.
  • Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs in a timely manner.
  • Complete training courses and stay up-to-date with the latest phlebotomy techniques.
  • Travel to Territory Manager meetings if held off-site or off normal shift.
  • Participate in special projects and teams.
  • Stay up-to-date on company communications.
