About The Position

Western NC Community Health Services (WNCCHS) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) committed to caring for patients with purpose and integrity and providing team members with support. They are looking for a Patient Services Representative (PSR) - Call Center on an as-needed basis to provide phone coverage during business hours at the Minnie Jones Health Center. The role involves assisting patients with call routing, registration, eligibility verification, and general inquiries, communicating with diverse individuals in a sensitive and compassionate manner.

Requirements

  • At least one year in a customer-facing role in any service-related industry.
  • Sliding fee scale experience required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA), preferred.
  • At least one year in a medical office setting is preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish, or English/Russian, is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Provide phone coverage during business hours.
  • Assist patients with call routing, registration, eligibility verification, and general inquiries.
  • Communicate with people of various diverse backgrounds, ensuring all patients are treated in a sensitive and compassionate way.
