About The Position

Leads work in a fast paced environment with the ability to prioritize tasks, provide guidance and follow-up as needed. Assists manager with hiring, orientation and coaching process. Responsible for scheduling, maintaining, and disseminating an accurate staff schedule, including acquisition, retention, and organization of documentation, and will provide clerical services for the clinic as indicated. Performs reception duties for all medical personnel and visitors as needed including computer entry, phone answering, patient, staff, and physician communication.

  • Associate's or equivalent of experience and education combined.
  • High School or GED Equivalent.
  • Less than 1 year Related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a liaison and assistant to Clinic Manager to monitor work of staff.
  • Is responsible for maintaining appropriate staffing levels to maximize efficiency.
  • Responsible for maintaining work flow and smooth patient process through waiting area.
  • Main resource for training new support staff, ongoing coaching, and monitoring staff duties and performance.
  • Addresses daily work issues by addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Reviews and orders supplies for the clinic.
  • Acts as a liaison with hospital patient access, revenue cycle or other clinics or hospital departments.
  • Tracks daily totals, payments at time of service, runs registration related reports, and ensures registration accuracy or error resolution including monitoring of registration denials.
  • Provides information to employees/visitors within scope of knowledge or refers to appropriate individuals.
