About The Position

The UNM Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a full-time Patient Services Coordinator to join their Primary Care Clinic in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. This role involves performing various administrative support functions, including scheduling appointments, handling receptionist duties, and verifying patient demographic and insurance information. The coordinator will also manage referrals and prior authorizations with insurance carriers, acting as a liaison between patients, physicians, and other providers to ensure smooth patient service and assist with patient concerns and complaints. The Grande Primary Care Clinic, opened in the summer of 2021, serves the Rio Rancho community by providing non-emergency medical needs such as general primary care, women's health, annual exams, sports physicals, immunizations, treatment for common non-emergency illnesses, health promotion, disease prevention, medication management, and diabetes management. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirements may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Verification of education and licensure (if applicable) will be required if selected for hire.
