Patient Service Specialist - Medical Front Office
About The Position
Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a Patient Service Specialist for their Downtown Dallas location. This is a full-time position with clinic hours Monday - Friday from 7 AM - 7 PM, requiring flexibility to open or close. The compensation is based on experience and internal equity, with a starting salary of $18 - $25 per hour. The ideal candidate will be organized, adaptable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. This role involves providing outstanding customer service and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently. Responsibilities include processing referrals, scheduling patients, completing the intake process, data entry, insurance verification, obtaining authorizations, reviewing benefits with patients, collecting copays, arriving and scheduling patients, generating billing and closing reports, and performing other related tasks as needed. The Patient Service Specialist will greet patients, answer phones, operate the front office of outpatient centers, support therapists and therapy assistants, and handle daily cash balancing and weekly banking deposits.
Requirements
