Patient Service Specialist - Medical Front Office
About The Position
Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a Patient Service Specialist (PSS) to float between multiple outpatient clinics in the Austin, TX area. This PRN position requires flexibility in hours, varying between Monday-Friday, 7 am - 7 pm. The candidate will be responsible for traveling to various outpatient clinics within the specified coverage areas. The role involves providing outstanding customer service and efficiently managing front office operations. Key duties include processing referrals, scheduling patients, completing the intake process, data entry, insurance verification, obtaining authorizations, reviewing benefits with patients, collecting co-pays, arriving and scheduling patients, and generating billing and closing reports.
Requirements
- HS diploma or GED is required
