Provides service to patients before, during, or after appointments with minimal guidance. Facilitates efficient workflow, supports appropriate use of technology, and engages in effective communication. Navigates complex patients to include scheduling with multiple services or coordination with outside facilities or providers. The role involves managing registration and patient work queues, coordinating with patients and/or outside facilities to ensure all pre-appointment orders and consults have been received and are ready to view prior to the patient visit. Communication with patients is conducted through the patient portal, requiring critical decision-making to route information appropriately. This position supports the mission of Vanderbilt's health system to advance health and wellness through preeminent programs in patient care, education, and research.
