About The Position
Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a Patient Service Specialist (PSS) for their North Austin Clinic. This is a PRN (as needed) position with varying hours Monday through Friday between 7 am and 7 pm. The candidate will be required to travel to multiple outpatient clinics in the Pflugerville, North Austin, Steiner, and Liberty Hill areas. The role involves providing outstanding customer service and efficiently managing front office operations in outpatient rehabilitation centers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required

Responsibilities
- Process referrals
- Schedule patients
- Complete the intake process
- Data entry
- Insurance verification
- Obtain authorizations
- Review benefits with patients
- Collect copays
- Arrive and schedule patients
- Generate billing reports
- Generate closing reports
- Perform other tasks as needed
- Greet patients
- Answer phones
- Operate the front office of outpatient centers
- Support therapists and therapy assistants
- Perform daily cash balancing and weekly banking deposits
