About The Position

We are seeking a Patient Service Representative to join a busy healthcare team and serve as one of the first points of contact for patients. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can confidently balance face-to-face patient needs, phone calls, and computer-based responsibilities. You will play an important role in creating a positive patient experience while supporting physicians and clinical staff with day-to-day administrative needs.

Requirements

Strong customer service skills and a patient-first mindset
Previous experience in a medical, healthcare, front desk, or customer-facing environment
Comfortable working with computers and learning multiple software applications
Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
Professional communication skills, both in person and over the phone

Responsibilities

Greet patients and provide a welcoming, professional experience at the front desk
Check patients in and out and ensure registration information is accurate
Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with appointment coordination
Answer incoming phone calls and help patients with questions and requests
Verify insurance information and assist with patient account information
Update and document patient information and physician notes within the EMR system
Assist with insurance-related processes, including verification and prior authorizations as needed
Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team
Manage multiple priorities at once, including patients at the front desk, incoming calls, and requests from physicians
