About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a detail-oriented individual with strong customer service skills to join their team as a Patient Service Specialist (PSS) at the Day Neuro Hub in Frisco, TX. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday between 8 am and 5 pm. The role involves a variety of administrative and patient-facing tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing outstanding service to patients and staff. The compensation is competitive, ranging from $18 to $25 per hour based on experience and internal equity.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Check in and check out patients
Perform insurance verifications
Schedule patient appointments, working with the Center Manager to minimize cancellations and support treatment adherence
Register patient information, ensuring all forms are complete with signatures and accurate information documented in the electronic medical record
Verify patient insurance, obtain required authorizations before patient visits, and explain benefits, financial responsibilities, billing, and outpatient policies
Collect patient financial responsibility at each visit
Scan and maintain medical documents
Reconcile and post charges daily and perform other reporting to ensure clean claim processing
Respond to all requests for information from patients, other departments, and physicians
Maintain office, order supplies, and manage mail
Willingness to adjust schedule to center needs
Attend all mandatory meetings and in-service education programs
Travel to non-home location centers or other sites for coverage when necessary
