About The Position
Join our Gastroenterology (GI) Clinic team as a Patient Service Specialist and play an essential role in supporting patients throughout their digestive healthcare journey. Our GI specialists provide comprehensive care for conditions affecting the digestive system, like esophagus, stomach, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas. As a Patient Service Specialist, you will be the welcoming face of our clinic and an important connection between patients, providers, and the healthcare team. You will help create a positive experience by ensuring patients receive timely access to specialty care and the support they need to manage their health.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Clerical: typing filing, scheduling, computer, phone and people skills
- Excellent customer service skills; strong computer skills
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual preferred
- Previous healthcare experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities
- Provide professional, compassionate, and welcoming reception support for patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members.
- Coordinate patient flow to support efficient clinic operations and keep providers on schedule.
- Schedule appointments, while ensuring patients are connected with the appropriate specialty services.
- Maintain accurate patient records, demographics, and account information while following privacy and compliance standards.
- Assist patients with questions related to appointments, referrals, insurance, and clinic processes.
- Manage incoming calls by identifying patient needs, providing appropriate assistance, and directing concerns to the correct team member.
- Support a patient centered environment where individuals feel informed and cared for throughout their GI care experience.
