Requirements

Responsibilities

Check in and check out patients
Perform insurance verifications
Schedule patient appointments, working with Center Manager to minimize cancellations and support treatment adherence
Register patient information, ensuring all forms are complete with signatures and accurate information documented in the electronic medical record
Verify patient insurance, obtaining required authorizations before patient visit and explaining benefits, financial responsibilities, billing, and outpatient policies
Collect patient responsibility at each visit
Scan and maintain medical documents
Reconcile and post charges daily and other reporting to ensure clean claim processing
Respond to all requests for information from patients, other departments, and physicians
Maintain office, order supplies, and manage mail
Adjust schedule to center needs
Attend all mandatory meetings and in-service education programs
Travel to non-home location center or other site for coverage when necessary
