About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a Full Time Float Patient Service Specialist (PSS) for the North West Region. This entry-level position requires travel to multiple outpatient clinics including Flower Mound, Grapevine, Southlake, Denton, Coppell, The Colony, Argyle, and Aubrey. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and able to work independently or with others, possessing strong customer service skills and a proactive attitude. Mileage reimbursement is provided. Compensation is based on experience and internal equity, with a starting salary of $18 - $25 per hour.

Requirements

HS diploma or GED is required

Responsibilities

Process referrals, schedule patients, complete intake process & data entry, insurance verification, authorizations, and review of benefits with patients, copay collection, arriving and scheduling patients, billing reports, closing report and other task as needed.
Coordinate patient appointments, working with Center manager to minimize cancellations and support Treatment adherence.
Register patient information, ensuring all forms are complete with signatures and accurate information documented in the electronic medical record.
Verify patient insurance, obtaining required authorizations before patient visit and explains benefits, financial responsibilities, billing, and outpatient policies.
Collect toward patient responsibility at each visit.
Scan and maintain medical documents.
Reconcile and post charges daily and other reporting to ensure clean claim processing.
Respond to all request for information from patients, other department and physicians.
Maintain office, order supplies and manage mail.
Willingness to adjust schedule to center needs.
Attend all mandatory meetings and in-service education programs.
Travel to non-home location center or other site for coverage when necessary.
