About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a Full Time Patient Service Specialist (PSS) - Float for their North West Region. This entry-level position requires the candidate to travel to multiple outpatient clinics including Flower Mound, Grapevine, Southlake, Denton, Coppell, The Colony, Argyle, and Aubrey. Mileage reimbursement is provided. The role involves a variety of administrative and customer service tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations and excellent patient care.

Requirements

HS diploma or GED is required
Customer service experience
Knowledge of insurance verification
Healthcare, medical, or dental office administration experience

Responsibilities

Process referrals, schedule patients, and complete the intake process.
Perform data entry, insurance verification, and obtain authorizations.
Review benefits with patients and collect copays.
Arrive and schedule patients, and manage billing and closing reports.
Coordinate patient appointments to minimize cancellations and support treatment adherence.
Register patient information, ensuring all forms are complete and accurate in the electronic medical record.
Verify patient insurance, obtain required authorizations, and explain benefits and financial responsibilities.
Collect patient responsibility payments at each visit.
Scan and maintain medical documents.
Reconcile and post charges daily and generate other reports for clean claim processing.
Respond to requests for information from patients, other departments, and physicians.
Maintain office supplies and manage mail.
Willingness to adjust schedule to center needs.
Travel to non-home location centers or other sites for coverage when necessary.
Attend all mandatory meetings and in-service education programs.
