About The Position

Serves patients by greeting them, answering routine questions, registering patients, and maintaining records and accounts. Responsible for creating a positive patient experience by facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers and ensuring efficient office operations. Responsible for scheduling appointments which will provide timely, accurate, friendly, and clinically appropriate patient access. The Patient Service Coordinator responds to incoming correspondence from patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and beyond, in accordance with patient privacy and safety standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information
  • Basic computer skills (including opening/reading email, basic internet use)
  • Accurate grammar, spelling and punctuation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with departments, employees, physicians, members of leadership team, patients and families
  • Must be organized, flexible and a team player
  • Demonstrates the ability to work efficiently and organize time appropriately in order to accomplish daily work
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities while using leadership behaviors
  • Ability to exercise discretion and use good judgment to perform duties promptly and consistently with little direction
  • Ability to make independent decisions in order to provide an excellent customer experience
  • Requires high level of analytical ability in order to gather, synthesize and interpret information from various sources
  • Ability to use core values and HRO safety principles to make decisions
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
