The Patient Service Representative (PSR) is responsible for greeting and checking in patients, ensuring accurate patient information, collecting patient responsibility, and completing the registration process. This role involves verifying and updating demographic and insurance information, communicating payment expectations, and referring patients to Financial Advocates when necessary. The PSR also monitors patient flow, performs visit closure, schedules patient visits, assists with new caregiver onboarding, and works assigned EPIC work queues. Maintaining excellent public relations, communicating customer service issues, and staying knowledgeable about payer requirements are key aspects of this position.
