About The Position

Sport Ortho Urgent Care is seeking a Float Patient Service Representative (PSR) to provide support across their orthopedic urgent care clinics in Middle Tennessee. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, adapts well to different environments, and is dedicated to delivering an exceptional patient experience. As a PSR, you will be the initial point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and supportive experience. You will collaborate with providers and clinical staff to guide patients through their care journey. Sport Ortho Urgent Care is an outpatient practice within a comprehensive orthopedic model, focused on an innovative patient experience through an integrated team approach including Orthopedic Physician Assistants and Physical Therapists. The core focus is to serve patients and each other through conservative care in musculoskeletal health.

Requirements

1+ year of experience in healthcare administration (required)
Strong customer service and communication skills
Team-oriented mindset with attention to detail

Nice To Haves

College degree preferred
Knowledge of medical practice procedures, terminology, and EMR systems (preferred)
Familiarity with insurance verification and pre-authorization procedures (preferred)

Responsibilities

Greet patients and provide excellent customer service at check-in and check-out
Collect and record accurate demographic and insurance information
Process insurance verifications, pre-authorizations, and referrals
Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits
Collect patient responsibility payments, including copays, coinsurance, and prior balances
Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries in a professional manner
Support providers and staff with administrative needs for smooth clinic operations
